New country, new mountain. I've climbed this one before.

I help international companies launch and scale in Mexico, from the first market read to paying customers and a country manager who runs it.

A 30-minute first call, at no cost. In English or Spanish.

Foreign investment in Mexico just had its best first half on record.

The money is arriving. The companies that win are the ones that show up with a route, a local team and buyers who already trust them.

US$35.0B

Foreign direct investment in the first half of 2026, the highest January–June on record.

Mexico's Ministry of Economy, Aug. 2026
US$23.6B

In the first quarter alone: a record for a first quarter, up 10.4% year over year.

Of first-half investment landed in Mexico City, by far the top destination in the country.

Where most companies slip.

Mexico rewards companies that arrive prepared. These are the three mistakes I see most, and the ones this route is built to avoid.

  • Hiring the wrong country manager first

A senior hire who doesn't fit costs a year: salary, severance and the market you didn't open.

  • Building structure before customers

An entity, an office and a team before the first deal. An employer of record and a coworking space usually do the job for the first months.

  • Translating the US playbook

Same deck, same pricing, same channel. Mexican buyers decide through relationships, payment terms and trust.

The route: five camps to a team that runs on its own.

I work as your fractional Mexico lead: one accountable person on the ground, reporting to headquarters in English every month.

  1. Weeks 1–6

    Read the terrain

Market size for your product, local competitors, pricing and 10 to 15 interviews with real buyers.

    A clear go or no-go
  2. Weeks 7–10

    Plan the route

Entry segment, peso pricing, direct or partner channel, and your first 50 target accounts.

    Go-to-market plan
  3. Weeks 7–16

    Set up base camp

City and office, employer of record or your own entity, coordinated with legal and tax partners.

    Ready to operate
  4. Weeks 11–26

    Lead the first climb

I run your first meetings, partnerships and anchor customers, and report to headquarters.

    First paying customers
  5. Weeks 16–52

    Hand over the rope

Org design, Mexican salary bands, final interviews and onboarding of your country manager.

A team that runs on its own

Some camps overlap on purpose. Setup runs while we plan the route, so you're not paying for an office before you know where your buyers are.

Three ways to start.

Fixed fees in US dollars, billed monthly in advance. A results-based variable on the gross profit you add above an agreed baseline can be added to every plan. Legal and tax setup through my partners is quoted by scope.

What it costs to get there.

Put in your own numbers. The bigger cost is the one you avoid: a wrong senior hire and six to nine lost months usually cost more than the whole engagement.

How we calculate it

Investment = market assessment (US$14,000) + the plan at its mid price: 6 months × US$7,500 for a launch, 9 months × US$11,500 as country lead. Gross profit = customers × annual contract value × gross margin. Return = (gross profit − investment) ÷ investment. Before taxes and travel. Legal, tax and employer-of-record work can be added through my partners and is quoted separately, by scope.

Before you climb

Do we need a Mexican entity to start?

Usually not. Many companies start with an employer of record and open their own entity once revenue justifies it. We decide it with your legal and tax partners.

Can you handle legal and tax?

Yes, through strategic partners. I work with trusted legal, tax and employer-of-record firms in Mexico, so we can include that work in the engagement. What it covers and what it costs depends on the scope: an employer-of-record setup is very different from opening your own entity. We define it together in the first call.

Are you on the ground?

Yes. I'm based in Mexico City and meet customers and partners in person. Monterrey and Guadalajara are a short flight away.

How do you report to headquarters?

A one-page report every month, in English: investment, pipeline, customers, hires and risks. Plus a weekly call with your sponsor.

What about the rest of Latin America?

Mexico first. Once it runs on its own, the same route works for the next country, and I can help you plan it.

Ready to climb?

Tell me about your company and I'll propose a 30-minute call. I reply within one business day.

  1. 30-minute call. Your product, your timeline and what Mexico should look like in year one.
  2. A written proposal. The route, the plan that fits and a fixed fee.
  3. You decide. No commitment to continue.
